Why This Organization?
I’m in DC this fall, and I want to spend it on work that matters with the midterms three weeks out. Defend The Vote’s whole model depends on getting the numbers right: which races to back, where voter protection resources go, and how members actually vote on democracy legislation. That’s analysis work, and I want to do it for a team that’s winning.
What I’d Do
Through Election Day, I’d work as a part-time analyst on whatever is most useful to you. Three concrete ideas:
A tracker for endorsed races, with polling, fundraising, and ratings in one view, data visualizations built from your legislative scorecard, and research memos on the races and issues you’re weighing. If it helps, I’m happy to start with a two-week trial and one deliverable you can judge for yourself.
Relevant Experience
I’m currently a Data Analyst at StudySnacks, an ed tech company, where I work directly with the founding team. I’ve supported 400+ students in on-site pilots in Southeast DC and turned four rounds of classroom feedback into product deployments, which means I’m used to turning messy real world input into decisions.
I've spent the last three years running Keitz Digital, my own photo and video production company, so I already know how to operate inside tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects without dropping quality. I graduated summa cum laude, got a perfect score on the ACT NCRC, and I hold the same standard everywhere else in my life, whether that's a client deliverable, a grade, or a role I’m reaching out for. I don't think "good enough" is a real category.
Other Things I've Built
Civic - A civic engagement rewards app for college students (React, TypeScript, Supabase, Gemini API for proof verification). Helped college students get involved politically while connecting them with rewards for activism.
Hackathon & DataFest Projects - I frequently participate in college sponsored hackathons which gives me a technical background in coding. I've built across web, ML, and mobile using React, Python, Firebase, and Vercel, and frequently build and ship projects within 24-36 (see above, I work with deadlines)
